Williams, Ramsey, Kabrich, and Greene Lead the Way After Round One at the 2025 LJGT Tour Championship

Marksville, LA - The Overall Girls Division opened play at the 2025 Louisiana Junior Golf Tour Championship at Tamahka Trails Golf Club with a solid showing across an 11-player field, one of the strongest turnouts the division has seen at this event. The course played tough throughout the day, but the weather provided perfect playing conditions under clear skies and mild temperatures.
Maci Williams of Brusly set the pace with an even-par 71, highlighted by a 34 on the front nine and a steady 37 coming in. Her consistent play gives her the overnight lead heading into Sunday’s final round. Grace Goodwin of Bossier City posted an 83 to sit in second, followed by Rhyan Marcelissen of Broussard with an 89 in third.
The Boys 11–13 Division delivered some of the best scoring of the day during round one, with Grey Ramsey of Choudrant leading the division after an impressive two-under-par 69, highlighted by a composed back nine of 34 that featured several key birdies down the stretch.
Just one shot back is Owen Lejeune of Baton Rouge, who turned in a 70 (-1) with a strong back-nine 33 to close his round. Derby Everson of Shreveport sits in third after a steady 74 (+3). With only three shots separating the top three players, the division remains wide open heading into tomorrow’s final round.
The Overall Boys Division (ages 13–18) saw a tight leaderboard after Saturday’s opening round, with Parker Greene and Wayne Kabrich, both of Mandeville, sharing the lead after matching rounds of 74 (+3). Greene posted a 36 on the front and 38 on the back, while Kabrich’s steady 37–37 split kept him in contention from start to finish.
Sitting just one shot back is Parker Peeler of Metairie, who turned in a 75 (+4) to round out the top three.
Tomorrow’s final round will feature split tee times based on today’s scores, with play beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Tamahka Trails Golf Club.
