Round Leaders Emerge After the First Round at The Hills Golf Club

Calhoun, LA — The Louisiana Junior Golf Tour tournament at The Hills Golf Club completed its opening round today, with a competitive leaderboard set for an exciting final round starting tomorrow morning.
Players began the first round at 7:30 a.m. from the 1st tee, battling throughout the hot day for a position heading into Sunday's final round.
The Boys 12–13 Division is tied after an impressive opening round. Landon Lotz and Crew Galambos both carded 70 (-2) to share the lead. Galambos had one of the best highlights of the day when he eagled the 14th hole, helping him finish with a strong opening-round score.
Justin Lotz leads the Boys Overall Division after firing a 70 (-2). Lotz made an impressive five birdies during his opening round and will take the lead into tomorrow’s final round.
In the Girls Overall Division, Evelynn Artieta sits on top of the leaderboard after playing a 74 (+2). Artieta made two birdies during her opening round and will look to defend her lead when play resumes Sunday.
The final round of the LJGT tournament at The Hills Golf Club in Calhoun, Louisiana will begin Sunday at 7:30 a.m., with players returning to the course for the final round of competition for the title of LJGT at The Hills champion.
