Marksville, LA — The 2025 Louisiana Junior Golf Tour (LJGT) season came to an exciting close this weekend at Tamahka Trails Golf Club, where Louisiana’s top junior golfers teed it up for the Tour Championship and a chance to claim Player of the Year honors.

In the Boys 11–13 Division, Grey Ramsey of Choudrant capped off a standout season in style, firing a three-under-par 68 in the final round to secure the championship at two-under for the tournament. Ramsey’s impressive scorecard featured eight birdies, two bogeys, and one double, completing a wire-to-wire victory. Owen Lejeune of Baton Rouge finished runner-up with rounds of 70 and 72, five shots back, while Brandon Fuselier of Slidell placed third at 147 following rounds of 75 and 72. Ramsey’s victory marked his sixth win in nine LJGT starts this season, cementing his status as one of the tour’s most dominant players. His latest win also clinched him the Boys 11–13 Player of the Year title.

In the Overall Girls Division (13–18), Maci Williams of Brusly delivered a record-setting performance to claim the Tour Championship title. After opening with an even-par 71, Williams closed with a two-under 69 to finish at two-under 140 for the weekend—winning by an incredible 31 strokes, the largest margin in LJGT Tour Championship history. It was a challenging setup at Tamahka Trails, but Williams rose to the occasion with steady ball striking and four birdies on the front nine that set the tone for her final round. Grace Goodwin of Bossier City and Rhyan Marcelissen of Broussard tied for second at 171. Williams’ dominant showing also secured her the 2025 LJGT Player of the Year title in the Overall Girls Division.

In the Overall Boys Division (13–18), Parker Greene of Mandeville earned the championship with rounds of 74 and 71 to finish at three-over 145 for the weekend. Greene got off to a hot start today with three straight birdies on holes 2, 3, and 4, setting the tone for a front-nine 33 that helped him hold off a late charge from Duke Nitcher of New Orleans, who fired a two-under 69 in the final round to finish just two shots back at 147. Wayne Kabrich of Mandeville and Parker Peeler of Metairie tied for third at 149. Greene’s consistent play throughout the season earned him the Overall Boys Player of the Year honors.

In the Boys 15 & Under Division, Parker Peeler of Metairie claimed the title after posting rounds of 75 and 74 to finish at seven-over 149.

With the 2025 Tour Championship in the books, the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour closes another successful season celebrating the state’s brightest young golfers. The LJGT extends its gratitude to Tamahka Trails Golf Club and its staff for hosting a memorable championship weekend in Marksville.
