Mandeville, La. — Challenging course conditions rewarded precision and perseverance for our round 1 Leaders. Despite the difficulty, several players delivered standout performances to claim early leads in their respective divisions.
Leading the Overall Boys Division, Brooks Blanchard, carded an impressive 6-under-par round. Blanchard's exceptional day was highlighted by two eagles, coming on holes No. 1 and No. 6, helping him separate himself from the field and take the Round 1 lead.
In the Boys 10-11 Division, Finn McKnight sits atop the leaderboard following a round that featured a birdie on No. 1. McKnight battled through a challenging day on the course, overcoming several bogeys to maintain his position as division leader.
The Boys 12-13 Division is led by Landon Lotz, who showcased strong scoring ability with birdies on holes No. 1, 3, 6, and 12. Despite recording a double bogey on No. 16, Lotz's four birdies proved enough to secure the Round 1 lead in his division.
On the girls' side, Isabella Reeves leads the Overall Girls Division after recording a birdie on No. 10 during her first round. Despite letting a couple of bogeys slip, Reeves navigated the challenging layout effectively to earn the top position heading into the next round.
With round 1 complete, competitors will look to build on their performances as play continues at Beau Chene Country Club, where the course continues to provide a formidable challenge for players across all divisions.
The final round will be held tomorrow, split tee, starting at 8:30AM.
