Lafayette, LA – The Louisiana Junior Golf Tour (LJGT) is thrilled to announce LOTS powered by Legacy Rehabilitation as the proud presenting sponsor for the upcoming 7th Annual Sam Burns Junior Four-Ball Championship. LOTS and Legacy Rehab's unwavering commitment to fostering local relationships, elevating the game of golf, and ensuring the future of junior players in Louisiana makes them a key partner for this prestigious event.
LOTS (Legacy Outpatient Therapy Services), an outpatient therapy component of Legacy Rehabilitation, was established in 2003 to provide physical and occupational therapy services to the community of Ruston and surrounding areas. Their dedication to establishing relationships and caring for the health and well-being of the people in the communities they serve aligns seamlessly with the LJGT’s mission to foster meaningful relationships and ensure growth with junior golfers across the state.
The LJGT first conducted the Sam Burns Junior Four-Ball Championship in 2019, the same year the LJGT was established. This championship, hosted by Sam Burns and his home club, Squire Creek, has quickly become one of the most popular championships not only in Louisiana but also the surrounding states, with players traveling from Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Texas. Squire Creek Country Club has been the host site of this championship since 2019. General Manager Rick Maier and staff, along with Squire Creek’s state of the art facilities and golf course, provide a first-class experience for LJGT members across the region.
“Legacy is honored to be a part of this incredible event. Sam is an absolute role model to these young athletes, proving that hard work and dedication can lead to incredible success,” said Matt Shirley, President of Legacy Rehabilitation. “We’re thrilled to be a part of one of the most prestigious clubs and golf courses in our region. We know Squire Creek’s facilities, and both the Squire Creek and LJGT staff, will make this tournament an unforgettable experience for these talented young athletes.”
“We’re thrilled to partner with the LJGT and Sam Burns for this event. At LOTS, we’ve specialized in training and rehabilitating golfers for years, working with professionals, collegiate athletes, and junior players at various levels,” said Chase Patterson, LOTS Lead DPT, TPI. “We’re proud to be the only facility in our region with a medical professional certified by the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI). The TPI screening helps identify biomechanical inefficiencies in the body-swing connection, allowing us to optimize swing mechanics while reducing the risk of injury. We believe regular TPI screenings, combined with a personalized home exercise program, are key to helping golfers achieve longevity and success on the course.”
The LJGT, known for its commitment to promoting and developing junior golf, views LOTS and Legacy Rehab's sponsorship as a significant step in enhancing the championship's success. This partnership will create an even better platform to showcase the remarkable talent and sportsmanship of young golfers in Louisiana, while also giving junior players in the region the opportunity to improve their golf game with the services offered by LOTS. A portion of the funds donated by LOTS and Legacy Rehab will go towards the Elevate Your Game Campaign, which was created in 2024 to help raise funds to provide scholarships to LJGT members all across the region.
"The Louisiana Junior Golf Tour could not be more excited to be partnering with LOTS and Legacy Rehab for the Sam Burns Junior Four Ball Championship hosted by Sam Burns and Squire Creek Country Club,” said LGA Director of Junior Golf, Jake Norris. “With LOTS and Legacy Rehab’s already established relationship with Squire Creek, their well-respected community support, and their commitment to junior golfers in the region, it felt like a perfect fit for LOTS and Legacy Rehab to come aboard. This sponsorship will without a doubt help further improve this championship and help give back to the junior golfers in Louisiana and surrounding regions.”
LOTS and Legacy Rehab's sponsorship of the 2025 Sam Burns Junior Four-Ball Championship is a testament to their dedication to community impact and supporting the development of young athletes’ future.
