LJGT 2025 September Player of the Month: Isabella Reeves

Lafayette, Louisiana – The Louisiana Junior Golf Tour is proud to recognize Isabella Reeves of Zachary, Louisiana as the September Player of the Month.

At only 13 years old, Izzy has already shown the dedication and drive that makes her stand out on the golf course. A student at Northwestern Middle School through the Zachary Virtual Learning Program, she was first introduced to golf in first grade during a field trip to Beaver Creek Golf Course. That day sparked a passion that continues to grow with each season.

Some of her favorite experiences so far include playing Koasati Pines and Southern Trace with the LJGT, as well as celebrating her first eagle at Diamondhead, a memory she says she will never forget.

Izzy’s tournament-day approach reflects her commitment. She begins with a dynamic warm-up, spends time on the putting green, works through her wedges, and then moves through the rest of her bag on the range. Before teeing off, she says a quick prayer and turns on her favorite playlist to get in the right mindset. Her 45-degree wedge is her trusted club in tough situations, but she compares herself most to her 7-wood, explaining, “It allows me to play aggressive and accurate.”

When asked what advice she would share with new golfers, Izzy said, “Don’t let anyone out work you, and trust the processes you create.”

Away from golf, Izzy enjoys traveling with her family, spending time with loved ones, and playing piano, a hobby she has loved since the age of four. Looking ahead, she hopes to one day play Pebble Beach and continue developing her game to represent Louisiana with pride.

Reflecting on her LJGT experience, Izzy shared, “I’ve been paired up with some really talented girls this summer, and it’s motivated me to work harder to become a great player that will represent Louisiana well.”
