LJGT 2025 April Player of the Month: Vivian Volion

Lafayette, Louisiana – We are thrilled to announce Vivian Volion as the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour Player of the Month for April 2025! A Springfield native and student at Liberty University Online Academy, Vivian has been making waves in the junior golf scene.


Most recently, she claimed the Overall Girls title at the Lake Charles Spring Classic, adding yet another impressive victory to her growing list of accomplishments. She is also committed to playing collegiate golf at Harding University, where she will continue to elevate her game at the next level.


We caught up with Vivian to learn more about her journey on the tour, her golf game, and the experiences that have shaped her into the player she is today. Check out her responses below!


What college do you plan on attending?

Harding University


What’s your favorite golf course you’ve played, and why?  

Paynes Valley is my favorite course. Probably the most beautiful course I’ve ever seen.


Are you committed to a college to play golf?  If so, please specify which one.

I am committed to play for Harding University.


If you could create your dream foursome, who would join you on the course?

Phil Mickelson, Grant Horvat, my dad


When and how did you first get introduced to golf?  

Going to watch my dad play golf when I was 10 and wanting to be like him.


What is your favorite memory from playing golf?

When I was playing with a friend and my dad and I made a hole in on at Pinehurst.


What does your pre-round routine look like? Any unique habits or must-do steps?  

Always spend 10+ minutes stretching, listen to music and always text my best friend 5 minutes before I tee off for a tournament.


Do you have any tournament-day rituals or lucky items you always carry?  

I always carry and use my “Tito’s Vodka” ball marker. Because Tito is my best friends name. I also always do a handshake with my dad that we’ve done since I was 10. Also never use a new glove on the day of a tournament. Finally I always mark “PPP” on my golf balls. Stands for “patience ,perseverance , and positivity “


What's your go-to club in a challenging situation?

7 iron


If you were a golf club, which would you be and why?

I would be a putter. Drive for show and putt for dough 💸


If you could play any course in the world, which one would it be?  

Augusta National


What is your go-to snack and/or food/meal to get you "tournament ready"?

Before round Waffle House (eggs, a waffle, bacon, hashbrowns, grits,)


Who is someone you love to play with or against because you know it will help improve your golf game?

I love to play with my friends Ev and Mace. Its always a great chaotic time playing with them, but also makes me work harder because their great golfers.


What advice would you give to someone just starting out in golf?  

Be patient and hard work pays off. Results take time especially in golf.


What’s your favorite thing to do outside of golf? Any hobbies or passions?  

I like to play pickle ball with my dad and friends.


What’s one fun or unexpected fact about you?  

I can draw pretty well


How has the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour impacted your growth as a golfer and person?  

LJGT has made me enjoy tournaments a lot more. Its my favorite tour by far and every time I play a LJGT tournament its the best.
