Choudrant, LA – The final round of the 7th Annual Sam Burns Junior Four-Ball Championship was canceled due to heavy rain and inclement weather. Play began at 8:00 AM off # 1 and # 10 tees, with the final pairings teeing off at 10:00 AM. The rain was unrelenting all day, and the Tournament Committee suspended play at 1:00 PM due to unplayable course conditions. Play would not resume, and in order to protect the integrity of the tournament, the decision was made to shorten the championship to 18 holes.
As a result, the champions of the 2025 Sam Burns Junior Four-Ball Championship are as follows:
Overall Girls’ Division:
Evelynn Artieta of Denham Springs & Maci Williams of Brusly | (3-under-par 69)
Boys’ 11-13 Division:
Grey Ramsey of Choudrant & Mac Steltonpohl of Dothan, AL | (11-under-par 61)
Overall Boys’ Division:
Hudson Partin of Denham Springs & Tucker Gutierrez | (8-under-par 64)
While we regret that the tournament could not be completed as planned, we appreciate the players' resilience and sportsmanship throughout the event. A full field of 102 players competed in the 7th Annual Sam Burns Junior Four-Ball Championship presented by LOTS powered by Legacy Rehab held at Squire Creek Country Club. The course played to a par 72 at 6,612 yards for the Overall Boys Division and approximately 5,479 yards for the Overall Girls and Boys 11-13 Division.
