The Louisiana Junior Golf Tour concluded a successful two-day tournament at Beau Chene Country Club on Thursday, as Brooks Blanchard of Metairie, Isabelle Reeves of Zachary, Landon Lotz of Slidell, and Finn McKnight of Baton Rouge captured division titles following 36 holes of competition.
Players were greeted with ideal scoring conditions throughout the week, as hot, sunny weather and minimal wind provided a perfect setting for championship golf.
The Boys Overall Championship and Boys 14-18 Division title went to Brooks Blanchard of Metairie. Blanchard opened the tournament with a remarkable 6-under-par 66 on Wednesday, highlighted by two eagles. He followed with a 3-under-par 69 in Thursday's final round to finish at 9-under-par for the championship. "Feels great," said Blanchard. "A lot of work has been put in, so it feels great to have two great rounds put together."
In the Girls Division, Isabelle Reeves of Zachary earned the championship after posting rounds of 78 and 76 for a 36-hole total of 154 (+10). Reeves carded four birdies during the tournament and displayed consistency throughout both rounds to secure the title.
In the Boys 12-13 Division, Slidell's Landon Lotz captured the title after firing an even-par round on Wednesday before closing with a 2-under-par 70 on Thursday. Lotz recorded eight birdies over the two-day event and relied on strong ball striking to create numerous scoring opportunities throughout the tournament.
Finn McKnight of Baton Rouge claimed the Boys 10-12 Division championship after rounds of 75 and 77. McKnight finished the tournament strong, recording five birdies during the final round on Thursday to secure the victory.
The Overall Boys 15 & Under Championship was claimed by Grey Ramsey, whose steady play over 36 holes earned him a metal in a scorecard playoff.
The tournament showcased some of Louisiana's top junior golfers, with competitors taking advantage of favorable weather conditions and the challenging layout at Beau Chene Country Club. The Louisiana Junior Golf Tour congratulates all participants and looks forward to continuing the season with more outstanding junior golf competition across the state.
