Bayou Cup Returns to Big Easy Ranch in 2026

LAFAYETTE, LA – The Louisiana Junior Golf Tour (LJGT) and Southern Texas PGA (STPGA) are excited to announce that the Bayou Cup will return to Big Easy Ranch in 2026, bringing one of the Tour’s most unique and highly anticipated events back to an exceptional venue.

Following the success of the 2025 Bayou Cup, the event will once again feature a Ryder Cup style format between Team LJGT and Team STPGA. This event showcases camaraderie, competition, and state pride among Louisiana’s and Southern Texas’s top junior golfers. Big Easy Ranch, known for its premier facilities and championship-level course conditions, once again provides the perfect setting for this one-of-a-kind competition. Big Easy Ranch’s 18-hole championship golf course, The Covey, was rated the #1 Best New Private Course in the U.S. in 2025 by Golf Digest and #1 Golf Course in Texas in 2025 by the Dallas Morning News.

The Bayou Cup has quickly become a standout event on the LJGT schedule, offering players a distinctive experience that goes beyond traditional stroke play. With a blend of individual talent and team strategy, the event continues to highlight the depth and strength of junior golf in Louisiana.

In 2025, some of the best junior golfers in Louisiana teamed up for Team LJGT and were able to take home the inaugural Bayou Cup after defeating Team STPGA with a final score of 15-9 (Team LJGT Takes Home the Inaugural Bayou Cup at Big Easy Ranch). The 2026 edition of Team LJGT will be looking to defend the Bayou Cup this December at Big Easy Ranch.

Just like in 2025, Team LJGT will be comprised of 12 total players. Four players from the boys’ 13-14 division, four players from the boys’ 15-18 division, and four players from the girls’ 13-18 division.
